TINA Sorry to hear about your mum Hope you hear some positive news soon
Maya currently sitting on her eggs with a big piece of fish at her side. She looks like she is calling every now and then but her eyes keep closing - poor thing must be exhausted
Spoke too soon and she is off after something - probably 33/11
Thank you Patily, they think it may be pancreatitis, still unsure fully at present. I need to go up to Stoke tomorrow.

Looks like Maya continues to hold on to the fish. I take it no news since the Rutland team blog re: sightings of 28 or 33. I do feel for Maya, she looks exhausted bless her. she's gone again as I type.
Hi Tina, Sorry to hear about your mum. Hope she is better soon.
For the last fifteen minutes or so Maya has been on and off her eggs about four times. Not sure if there is another osprey around. She doesn't seem to be calling and still has her fish. She is alert but dozing. (a bit of an oxymoron!). Poor Maya.

I think that as she keeps disappearing 33 must be back. Somehow I wish she would just accept him and then not be sitting on those eggs.
If it is 33 Lmac, then she doesn't seem too worried by him. Maybe she is coming round to him and moving on. sooner the better.
The fish drop onto the eggs by the way, was amazing! I was watching when it happened and wondered what had happened, I think Mike saw it too. A Gift for Maya.
A much smaller gift than the huge fish 33/11 dropped the other day but I am sure Maya was most grateful. Shame for 28/10 but I guess the fittest will survive and thrive. Maya will not do well if she does not have a mate that can both protect and provide which I am sure 28/10 will learn with experience but perhaps not with Maya as his guide.
