Birdies LG DU update.

I agree. It was not a totally helpful way of putting it.
06 (09) is the only male at Rutland that does not carry the genes of 3 (97) being the offspring of 06 (00) and the bird from Argyll.

I am told that 06(09) is back.
Hopefully there will be an update tomorrow re who's where etc.
Yes all terribly confusing. RW saying they were all back except 5R made me think 06(09) was back. Roll on update!

Thanks Tiger! I hadn't thought of it that way but of course, and if 28(10) does end up breeding with Mars 5R that will continue the same dynasty!
Apparently 06(09) is not yet back, so 30 is still waiting for her mate.

Oh, just seen what you've written Mike! Someone who was at Rutland yesterday says he isn't back yet! Has he just arrived?
28 (10) is the chick which owes its life 9 (98). In 2010 for once 3 (97) was failing in the fish department. Mrs 3 (97) sought and got help from that perennial bachelor 9 (98) who seemed to think that if he helped out in 2010 he would get with Mrs 3 (97) in 2011. Now he was sorely disappointed in 2011 and cut up rough, the result being that unusually Site B only raised one chick in 2011 viz. 33 (11) (is he back?)
Anyway 5N was going spare so 9 (98) finally paired up with her.
Now 9 (98) and 5N raised two chicks in 2012. Will they return in a few months from now?
Fascinating Tiger!!!
Thanks for all the captures and posts etc. I hope Mrs 5R has found a new and faithful mate.....and Iamsure that if 5R does return he will soon be able to oust 28
I would quite like to see that osprey battle Patily!
I wouldn't feel sorry for 28 if it did, as there are a few other available females like 00(09) knocking around I think!
