LINDY yes, we have been loving the snow pics and like Annette my fav is the rabbit.
Hi dibnlib!! More snow pics tomorrow!!
Have loved all the doggy pics from everyone!
I am back home safely and the big fir tree is still propped against the neighbour's house. It is only about 15 deg off the vertical. I took a quick look and the house shows no damage looking up from ground level. There are a number of contractors working in the area checking the damage to trees, fences and roofs etc.
After leaving the hotel, taking the M6 south, my sat nav took over and diverted me off the M6 because of delays just after Preston, then it took me cross-country to link up with the M1.....after a lot of speed restrictions, as I got closer to London, the warning signs showed massive delays on the M25, the sat nav ignored the M25 exit, which I should have taken and took me towards the capital....but then over Hammersmith Bridge over the Thames, to the A3 then Surrey, my home.
For such a small device the sat-nav is really good at helping in these circumstances. I must make a point of finding out how the software, reads the map, then selects the alternate route, without delays. My one is very basic, it only gets news of the problems or delays from FM radio stations.

I'm so pleased to know you're home safely, JSB - thanks for letting us all know.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good to see you are home, JSB. Great that you were able to avoid the M25.
This is Patsy's place. Please vote accordingly:
Vote yes
I've voted. I've also voted on the smacking issue.
I've voted, Alan. Wonder how many people they will get voting, in total, when others put this poll online to various groups...
I voted, Alan!
This is the monstrous and hellishly immoral event being conducted in my country this weekend.
JSB glad to hear you are safely home.
