Good morning, all, and welcome to the new month's thread. I imagine we'll have to wait and see whether Glesni has actually gone - if she has, she can look back on a season where she has every right to feel very proud of herself!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Claragh had flown off but is back , must be too windy on the perch so back on the nest. Cerist still with her fish. Now eyeing her sisters fish up or what remains of it.

Clarach just did a couple of helicopter type flights, its so windy there and she seemed to get a piece of bark stuck in her talons briefly.
she's stopped now and is just watching Cerist eat. picture copyright of dop.

At last Cerise has finished her fish , the tailend has just gone into her mouth, Clarach meanwhile is shouting for food. A bit of beak cleaning going on.

Thanks Lynette. Some good captures to illustrate your commentary
What caught their eyes, Clarach flew up after it, then Monty flew in with a fish, and Cerist I think has claimed it again. Sounds a lot of alarm calling going on and Clarch getting very frustrated. Sounds like Cerist is saying its hers and Clarach is saying, "where's mine." All copyright of DOP
Some real alarm calling going on. Cerist defending her fish, crows I think trying to steal it and also the magpie appeared. Clarach has now flown down - both were alarm calling for a time. Clarach getting frustrated because she hasn't got a fish yet. She has found the remains of the previous fish and is eating that. Copyright of DOP
