Here is the tracking page for Green J

Well we will not be following Green J migration as she will be at her wintering grounds before we get any official details and doubt if she will move very far after she gets there.
Sorry all but cannot see any reason to justify tagging Green J at 22 yrs of age. This will be the 3rd time. I do look forward to reasons and some have said they have thoughts. I am open minded and hope a good reason. I do not care what anyone says Roy Dennis said he was going to track 3 adult males and not the case and one in the area red 8T is. Why has he not like Finland taken the time to catch Morven and Red 8T to see how they are after tracking and remove their trackers. Catching them will give a lot of answers how these trackers have affected them. No instead he has tracked two very old Ospreys and will we get reasons. We still have not not got an answer on Fearna and that to me is important as where translocation is.

With you on that NITEOWL
I think any suggestion of that was ruled out some while ago.
Birdies LG DU update.
I agree, Mike. I don't think they would take the chance on a bird of her age - even Green J is a relative youngster by comparison.
Am quite certain there is a very valid reason behind this. Perhaps tracking older birds will give an insight into how they have survived to their good age. I am disappointed that juveniles were not tracked but perhaps the cost of tracking them in recent years and the high mortality rate must have set Roy on a different route to try and use what limited funds available to him to perhaps better use to safeguard the future of ospreys.
That's worth thinking about, Tempo - I don't think any of his tagged juveniles survived from last season, which I bet would have gutted him.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Will we get to hear of Green J when she starts migration?
I sincerely hope so Tiger.
