This is a new thread to follow the travels of these three young ospreys from the Loch Garten nest.
Oighrig
This male juvenile is the elder of the 2013 brood, hatched on 25th May and fledged on 16th July.
Oighrig’s ring is Blue/white CF5
Breagha
Also male, the younger of the 2013 brood, hatched 28th May and fledged on 19th July.
Breagha’s ring is Blue/white CF4.

Caledonia
Hatched on 16th May 2012, fledged on 14th July and left Loch Garten on 19th August.
The travels of Caledonia and her sister Alba were first followed in this thread, now closed. Caledonia is the first juvenile osprey tracked from Loch Garten to settle in Europe; she has been living on the northern outskirts of Seville for nearly a year now.
Caledonia’s ring is Blue/White AA1, reading downwards. LG blog on the ringing and tagging of Caledonia & Alba.

Seagull Blue 44 flew over my old house last year in Strensall and too many miles away from here :) I hope they all do well and this year I think will be a good year :)
b&b how lucky is that :-) shame you werent able to see Blue44 and I hope so too - I will keep my fingers toes and legs crossed
Hopefully Oighrig will stop off an refuel soon and I suppose a track along the coast is safer than most routes.
Slightly concerned about no update for Caledonia since 26th August.
Alan
The blog of 31st Aug has the following comment on Caledonia "She appears to have stayed on the Rio Guadalquivir and Rivera De Huelva area for the last 3 days". - though there is no corresponding GE update.
I had noticed that today's blog says "There is no report for Caledonia." - but this may just mean that Jen has had no report from Mike, who is downloading and plotting all the data. If Caledonia isn't doing anything different, I can see why he might be concentrating on Oighrig & Breagha - though I agree I would like the reassurance of knowing what she's up to, in the next report.
Thanks Sue, I missed that bit on the blog of 31st August. I was going by the GE dates.
I have just read their blog and noticed the remark on Caledonia and came to this thread seeking comfort as I was concerned also. Hope you are correct Sue in that they are concentrating on the younger birds and as they mentioned her on the 31st it must be the case.
Can resist it no longer :-(
I am extremely anxious about Cally. I feel that even LG would have explained the reason for "no data" on her if there was nothing to worry about.
Having said that, I look forward to being red-faced for worrying about nothing ;-)
