In just over four hours time (5:04 am) it will be the summer solstice. A real pivotal point in the year. From today forward the days will grow shorter and we know what that means. Enjoy the ospreys while we can because it will be a long wait until they return.
Tiger Signature
Thanks for the reminder, Tiger... nearly forgot! Am recording it now...
Tiger, thanks for the reminder. I remember Richard writing in his blog that they were recording a programme when the saw Odin kick the egg out. Didn't the water lapping on the shores of LG sound wonderful.
EJ beakifies on that post:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
One of the more odd views I've had of EJ this year:
EJ was digging around in a most immodest manner :o
IMAGICAT
Oh, didn't see yours, CLARE. I had to choose carefully as most of the sequence was even more immodest ;-)
Perhaps she thought she'd give us all a different view for a change.
She's flown.
Did we hear anymore about whether the chicks are being tagged this year. I remember reading somewhere that it was being reviewed (I think that was at the end of last year).
EJ has left the nest.
