In just over four hours time (5:04 am) it will be the summer solstice. A real pivotal point in the year. From today forward the days will grow shorter and we know what that means. Enjoy the ospreys while we can because it will be a long wait until they return.

Well, they couldn't have breakfast until they had spruced themselves up
'Morning all
You, slow? Not a chance.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Morning Clare and Scylla. Having read back I think this is the second fish of the day. 06.47 Mike said that EJ was feeding one osplet, with the other probably full and uninterested. 08.01 Stingray (hello to you!) reported another Odin delivery but no one was interested in this at all, and he flew off with it only to return again with the fish at 08.30 which they are eagerly eating. They must be quite stuffed already! Well done Odin.
Where is the identifiable white strip down Moffalot's back! Heck, how am I going to id them now! One seems to have a darker head (?Moffalot), the other lighter stripes on the head.
Edit: hello Lindy and patily too!

Hi, Sheila! I think you're correct about Moffalot having the darker head.
Comfort flight time:
I'm looking forward to the day when EJ returns from a break with a whale!
Thanks Clare!
Sated osplets are lying down digesting, with the occasion preen. EJ has left.
Out sparko
EJ has returned with a chirrup, and starts a bit of HW straight away. Oh mum, what are you doing.
After being disturbed one osplet has a stretch of the wings.

You are right, SHEILA, I have been going thru the recording and am adding/editing my earlier posts, which I had changed from new delivery to returned fish.
