Chat Extravaganza Sunday Feb 21st

Here I am, awaiting the snow machine to crank up again Sunday afternoon. Expecting 8 to 12 inches new snow on top of 3 or 4 we still have from last storm. Oh bother!  Can you tell I'm not very enthused?????

So to pick up from the last of our thread:

Annette:  Do tell us how the Pale Male movie was, please.

Some fascinating new news on the Peregrine Falcon front from Derby Cathedral (it's snowing there as I watch at 11:15 p.m. Chicago time) where they've finally let us in on the secret hinted at in the blog from last month.

I believe I'm off for the night now. Happy Sunday to all!

  • Afternoon all from TI,

Margobird : I hope everything will be ok for you on thursday. We are all thinking positive thoughts.

Tiger : Thanks for the link. I have not had time to have a look but will later.

Diane : I am sorry you feel so angry about things. As for politicians, they are the same the world over.

Cirrus : The male has been bringing in sticks and moss at Hilton Head but there has been some problems with an intruder. I will refer you to the blog for further details:

Just been out with the thunderdog for his afternoon walk and the wind was freezing. Glad to get back into the warm

Here is a picture of Bodnant Gardens azaleas in bloom last May. Something to look forward to:

  • Afternoon all! Margobird, waiting is the worst. I really hope you will have good news. Diane, just let it all out honey, I am sure we will "listen", what are friends for after all.

I know that most of you have seen enough snow for one winter, SO CLOSE YOUR EYES but can`t resist after seeing Annette`s lovely summery pic. And I can say these are for AQ ;)  these were taken earlier this week (my sis`garden)

  • Cirrus, I watched a magpie pulling sticks too this morning!

Alan, thanks for that absolutely beautiful pic (much better and spirit lifting than mine LOL) And totally had forgot to say how happy, happy, happy I am about Hamish's good results

  • Hello auntie lovely photos of your sisters garden in the snow.  It looks quite deep is this usual snow fall in your winter.

You are right about the waiting,  one half of me wants it to be next Thursday while the other half is scared stiff.  Will be positive though as so much can be done these days if it does all come to that.  Have a good afternoon.

  • Thank you Alan the support from friends on this blog will get me through the week.  I have just said to auntie that one half of me wants to know but the other half is scared to death.  I will think positive thoughts knowing that people will be thinking of me.

Poor Diane was so angry with everything but I don't why I watch the news as there are so many political items that really wind me up.  Often feel like throwing something at the TV in disgust.

We have had sun this morning, a fresh wind but so much better than yesterday when I thought the monsoon season had arrived in force.

Glad Thurnderdog has had hit walk and that you are now back in the warm.

They have changed the microphone in Lily's den, no nasty hum and you can even hear the cub suckling and Lily snoring.

    Margobird

  • Afternoon Margobird, the amount of snow is not quite normal. It has been below zero Cs since early December, so no melting between then and now, everything that has snowed stays, and guess what, it just started to snow again

  • Alan thanks for update on Blackwater.  There is something on the nest that looks like a fish.

By the way Lily is having a good old snore.

    Margobird

  • Thanks Cirrus it means a lot to me  to have other people thinking positive thoughts for me.  I will endeavour to do the same.  Have a good afternoon and we are so lucky to be able to view cams from all over the world of magnificent birds of prey.

    Margobird

  • Auntie the weather all over the world seems so strange at the moment.  I thought everyone was saying global warming but we have not had a cold winter like we have had for years.  All a bit of a shock to us in Southern England.
