Now is the time of year to see an abundance of wild flowers at Langford Lowfields, with swathes of oxeye daisies, knapweed and birdsfoot trefoil in flower. We held a wildflower walk for our volunteer team recently and as well as a number of impressive looking southern marsh orchids, we spent time learning to identify a number of flowering plants (see list below), as well as enjoying all the other sights and sounds of the reserve.

We are holding another wildflower walk on 7th July, which anyone can attend. The walk will start from the visitor's car park at 10am and run until about 1pm. Prices are; RSPB Members - Adult £8.00, Child £4.00; Non-member: Adult £10.00, Child £5.00. Please book a place in advance by calling the office on 01636 893611 or emailing langford.beckingham@rspb.org.uk
