Bearded tits are also being seen semi-regularly, stonechats are on site and there are good numbers of the winter thrushes (fieldfares and redwings) feeding on the hawthorn berries. I saw 10 roe deer recently, which is a new record count for the reserve and we've had reports of peregrine and great white egret from this morning. The starling murmuration is also starting to build up, with a few thousand birds coming in this evening from about 15:45 onwards.
