I've been distracted by various things, but finally, here we have the WeBS counts for May.

Little ringed plover
As well as the water-loving birds, it's been a good year for hobbies too, with a high count of 12 made in May (the best month for them at Langford). In theory we should have them passing back through again in the autumn, feasting on dragonflies and impressing us once again with their aerial elegance.
