It's that time of year again when the sun is shining, the birds are singing and Jenny (the Warden) gets up bright and early to show people the sights and sound of Langford Lowfields. The walk is year is happening this weekend on Sunday 13th May, not much notice but hopefully that gives you enough time to clear out your diaries and get down to Langford for 7am. It's best to let us know in advance that you'll be coming so give us a call on 01636 893611 (leave a message if we're out of the office). Prices are £10 non-members and £8 members, with these prices being halved for children.
It's always a big unknown as to what you might see on Jenny's walks, but highlights from this week have included: 7 hobbies, swifts, avocets, 10 species of singing warblers, wood sandpiper, shelduck, Mediterranean gull, green tiger beetles, cuckoo, about 100 black-headed gull nests, common terns and lots & lots of orange tip butterflies.
