  • What a cracking start to the year with some top birds dropping in already, from wheater and garganey to the old favourites of hobby and marsh harrier.

    Langford is certainly blossoming at the moment and keeping up with the birds on site, especially when they are passing through like the bar tailed godwites last week and yesterdays wood sandpipers, can get taxing - even for those of us that work on site!

    If you get the chance to follow my tweets then I'll be updating the records as much as possible while the Langford and Beckingham team are out and about, today was a good test of my tweeting skills as the female harrier, 4 hobbies, 2 common tern, and the cheerful but solitary cuckoo kept me busy at lunch.

    Well here goes, I'll twitter on and hopefully you'll get to hear and see a few more of Langfords best birds...
