Following on from the 'yellow' blog yesterday, I found this pretty little yellow fungus near silt lagoon 6 this morning. Unfortunately I'm no mycologist (hopefully one day!), so if anyone can shed some light on it's identification, then please do post in the comments box below. I will have to take a good look through my fungus book tonight!

Thanks for your really speedy reply! It does indeed look very like the species you have suggested and the distribution, habitat and status all fits well too.
I am yet to discover the delights of the Fungi Kingdom - I'm still getting to grips with entomology, but one day i hope to start with fungi ID.

The taxonomy for fungi is all messed up because lots of them have multiple Latin names. A very cryptic kingdom.
