Are you aware of our free weekend walks? Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, regardless of weather, our guided walks set off from the RSPB shop at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm, led by knowledgeable volunteers.

They last about an hour, and at this time of year the wide array of fungi in Vyrnwy's woods, as well as the chance to practise tree identification skills, provide plenty of interest and challenge. You'll also find the history of the valley absorbing, as we stroll past the dam, up to the church, and back past the obelisk.

Nature walk in the morning (11:30), history walk in the afternoon (2:00). No charge, no prior knowledge expected. Bring a camera if you want to identify trees and toadstools in the comfort of your own sitting room later! Oh - and stout shoes, please!

Are you a member of the RSPB? Nature is amazing, help us keep it that way.  To join contact me on roger.whiteway@rspb.org.uk
