As Easter is now on the horizon, it is time to let you know about our Wild Things at Easter trail!
The trail will be around the Brandon Fen family trail, which is a circular, all accessible route that is around three quarters of a mile long. The trail will run daily 9am-5pm from Friday 30 March- Sunday 15 April.
There will be plenty to do on the way round the trail including several challenges.
When you are ready to leave the visitor centre, you be given some bug hunting kit so you can look out for some of the creepy crawlies that call the reserve home as you walk around the trail.
If you are lucky, you might find a smart peacock butterfly like this one:

The first challenge proper will be pond dipping. This will provided you with the opportunity to find out which monsters of the deep lurk in the depths of the reserve pools:

Moving around the trail, you will learn to balance like a bearded tit and there may even be a game to play if you can find it!
Around half way around the trail, there will be a chance to climb iinto a child sized nest, to see what it is like to be a baby bird. While you are in the nest, why not get a parent or guardian to take a photograph of you?!]

Just before you get back to the visitor centre, there will be the chance to use some logs that have been cut on the reserve to build your very own den:

When you get back to the visitor centre, you can make your own nature crown using any material that you can find near the visitor centre. We will then give you a small memento to take away with you as a thank you for taking part in our trail!
