Good afternoon. You may have heard that our Race for Wildlife is now FULLY BOOKED. If you have not registered in advance, please do not turn up on the day as it is very unlikely that there will be any places available.

If you have registered in advance, here is some more information about the event:

Registration closes at 10.30am and the event begins at 11am. Please note that the start for both the 5k and the 10k is a 10 minute walk from the visitor centre so please take this into account when you arrive. Both courses will finish at the entrance to the staff car park which is next to the visitor centre.

There will be a secure baggage area which is available to all participants in front of the visitor centre. There will be marshals and kilometre markers placed out on both courses along with directional signage.  Each participant will receive a medal at the finish line, regardless of finishing time. Homemade cakes will be available to purchase in the visitor centre after the race. The toilets will be open throughout the event and RSPB staff will be on hand to provide information if required.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ring the office on 01842 863400 or e-mail: lakenheath@rspb.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you on race day and I will finish with a picture that was taken at the start of last year's event:
