Good morning. Now that the community pages are up and running again, I thought I would give them a try and share with you this image that was taken last Tuesday from our visitor centre window:

As you can see, it shows two kingfishers perched up at the back of the pool. What we love so much about this image is that the bird on the left looks a bit like a penguin. Fancy that!
Shortly after this picture was taken, the two birds (the female on the left and the male on the right) had a bit of a scrap and after the male knocked the female off of the perch, they chased eachother around for a while. This short interlude certainly helped to brighten up the day.
Anyhow, I better get back to work and now that I know how to use the new community pages (!), I will return with some more recent sightings either tomorrow or Friday.
