Hello and welcome to Labrador Bays first ever blog. The RSPB bought this nature reserve in Devon specifically to give the rare cirl bunting a home. So keep those eyes peeled to see one of these beautiful birds singing from the tops of hedges. That is of course if you can take your eyes off the spectacular views. When you’re not watching ravens and buzzards soaring up on the coastal breeze be sure to look down as you’ll see some exciting wildlife like dor beetles and carpets of bluebells.

Why is this such a diverse place? Well it’s thanks to the wildlife friendly farming carried out here. With perfect grass for grasshoppers and enough seed left over for the winter, birds like the cirl bunting can’t resist staying here all year round.

The reserve has trails for all levels of walkers from the challenging and rewarding red trail which loops the reserve to perfect views from the car park for those wishing to just sit and have a picnic.

Labrador Bay is a fantastic place to take you family and go wild. We currently have a volunteer work party carrying out a range of habitat management and estate tasks, if you are interested in joing the work party please call us on, 01392 824614

So if you’re anything like me, you’ll be looking forward to going to Labrador Bay, and once you’ve been you wont be able to wait for your next chance to go back. So why not visit Labrador bay now?
