This week we took a day out with our Thursday volunteer work party from Exminster to Labrador Bay, just to the south of Teignmouth. This reserve, inteded by the RSPB as a home for Cirl Buntings, is made of fields running along part of the South West Coast Path.
Because of the exposed location, we really felt the wind and the rain, but did manage to get some jobs done. We cleared up some fly-tipping - a discarded car wheel, and made repairs to a kissing gate. We also opened back up a section of footpath that was choked with brambles and nettles, and trimmed the sides further along the path to help keep it clear.
