I’m sure many of you will have heard that it was quite windy here yesterday and never ones to shy away from a bit of heavy weather we were out (once the worst of it had passed!) to check that the reserve was still intact. Luckily all was well apart from a minor breach in Loch Gruinart’s sea wall and a few lost roofing tiles but whilst we were out we managed to document the event before heading back to the warmth of the office to get on with all the computer jobs we save for days like this...

The wind and waves on the west coast near Saligo and Machir bay were impressive to say the least but we still managed to take jack's dogs out for a fly walk without them blowing away...

...and just so you know it's not all work when volunteering on the Islay reserves, we managed to enjoy ourselves without blowing away!
