Here's a dragonfly exuvia from the Oa today. I never get bored of seeing these. For the uninitiated, this is the empty casing left behind as the dragonfly nymph emerges into its adult form. I'm going to make the lazy assumption that it's from a four-spotted chaser as it looks a bit like one and there are plenty around at the minute, but if anyone knows how to identify the species by its exuvia I'd be interested to know.
And here's a cast off snake skin (I presume it's from an adder) found not far away an hour later.
