A great couple of days on Islay, sightings wise, with red-necked phalarope, garganey, green-winged teal, curlew sandpiper and a temminck's stint all seen at Loch Gruinart either yesterday or today.
To add to the general air of excitement, we've started an Islay staff photography competition to showcase the great photgraphic talents we have here on the island. Here are the finalists.
Entry 1 - Emily's red-necked phalarope at Loch Gruinart this morning
Entry 2 - Some rushes and a Temminck's stint at Loch Gruinart yesterday by James
and last and possibly least, TV's Dave Wood provides Entry 3 with this stunning Osprey over Port Ellen on Monday.
