I put our trail camera back out onto a well used branch in the woodland trail. It produced good pictures in the winter and this time was just as diverse - wren, robin, starling, blue tit, song thrush, blackbird, treecreeper and chaffinch all used the perch over a long weekend.  After finding owl pellets here last year, I live in hope of capturing good owl images some time over the summer.

Here are my favourite images:

this very cute immature blue tit.

But even the young blue tit couldn't match my delight when I realised I had an image of this treecreeper! It came by the branch twice, creeping along its underside looking for food.

Love a Ronseal "does-what-it-says-on-the-tin" bird name! Only turnstone can possibly beat treecreeper in this category!
