Yesterday we carried out an early season survey of the coastal cliffs on the Oa, looking for early season breeding species and to monitor the feral goat population.

After a calm but wet start the sun came out, causing the land to steam!

One flowering plant, clinging to the cliffs and already in full bloom is purple saxifrage.

Some highlights of the survey included sightings of 6 peregrine falcons, 4 otters, 5 golden eagles, 10 wheatears, 21 black guillemots, 7 chough and 5 great-northern divers.
