...drop. The weather outside is frightful, but out here it's just delightful...
The weather all over Scotland's north and west coast has been frightening recently. Islay was by no means the worst but we still took hits of over 60mph winds over the weekend. A quick check of the Woodland Trail at RSPB Loch Gruinart this morning reminded me how mild it is here on the west coast despite the cold winds. Thanks to the gulf stream keeping temperatures warm(ish) we rarely get snow and the grass continues to grow, albeit slowly, which is in part why the thousands of grass-guzzling barnacle geese set up camp here for the winter.
The snow drops are already out;
These daffodils aren't far behind.
