Some of our Scottish Blackface tups getting a final check-up and medical before they are unleashed on several hundred ewes that await them. The boys seem considerably more excited about this prospect than the girls...

We tup quite late in the year here at The Oa, as spring comes pretty late to this part of the island. The tups will get rotated every 17 days to fit with the ewes' fertility cycle, and all being well we will have many, many lambs to show you in April/May time.
