Regular followers of this blog (hi mum) will know of Dave's tragicomic attempts to get a decent Golden eagle photo. Well, this was out on the Oa reserve very early on Tuesday morning as we finished our first round of Black guillemot surveys. I came puffing and panting up a cliff and was faced with this sight.
Turns out it's quite hard to use a camera whilst trying not to move or breathe.
Later, a pair of chough mobbed the above eagle for a while and then settled down for some early morning foraging.
Cracking photos Mark it must be breathtaking to come across a sight like that, they look a magnificent bird.
