Some more pics from last week. The trip over to Colonsay was in beautiful flat calm conditions with stunning views back over to Jura.
After picking up the team from Oronsay we went round to the seabird cliffs on the north and west of Colonsay.
Counting busy cliffs like these from a few hundred yards away on a rocking boat is no easy task, but at the end of the day we had over four and a half thousand kittiwakes, nearly ten thousand guillemot, eight hundred razorbill and a scattering of black guillemot, shag and fulmar. These sound like impressive numbers but in reality they show a significant decline from previous counts.
