Just a quick update on sightings for anyone visiting at the weekend . Wader numbers are picking up nicely and there is mixed flock on the island and lagoon. Amongst the throng of redshank there are a couple of turnstone, dunlin and ringed plover. Also still about are the common sand flitting about the channel between the island and the hide. A good variety of waders and really great to try and pick them out of the bigger flock of redshank.
Also still about are those mentioned in the last last blog the main ducks being down near the carpark with pochard, tufted duck and merganser all down in that area. Norm and me had a grayling butterfly out the front of the hide aswell.
Just a quick one today I will update more next week.
Cheers
