At Hayle, work continues on the hide at Ryan’s Field, adding a fresh lick of paint and refreshing the old notice boards gives a brighter feel to the big old concrete building.  Unfortunately some people did not appreciate our efforts, almost as soon as the new leaflet dispenses were installed they were pulled off the wall, smashed and thrown into the lagoon, so we bought new ones and installed them in the hide but these have been stolen. For as long as we can afford, we will persevere and continue to provide visitors with as much information as possible at Hayle.

  • Hi Neil

Thanks for your comment.  Volunteers and I regularly check on the facilities around the Hayle Estuary nature reserve and try to keep on top of any maintenance required following vandalism.  Also, the police often drive up to the parking area underneath the viaduct at Ryan's Field and will move on any suspicious persons.  If you see any criminal activity on the reserve please call the police on 08452 777444.

    Thanks

    Jenny
