What a wonderful weekend we had on Havergate with our Summer on the island event. The weather was kind to us and there was so much to see! For a round up of the weekend take a look at Steve’s blog here http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/placestovisit/havergateisland/f/12583/t/195142.aspx Steve is one of our regular guides and so knows the island really well and enjoys spending time out there showing our visitors everything from birds, bugs and hares. He takes great photos of his adventures out there that really capture the charm of the island and its wildlife.
If you missed our summer on the island event don’t worry. We have the famous Havergate Adventure coming up on the 12,13 and 14 August. This is a great trip, especially for a family as you are shown around by a guide and get the chance to enjoy a cool drink (or cuppa) and a slice of homemade cake at the end whilst you watch the yachts go up and down the river before your boat ride back to the quay.
I have included a few pictures to go with Steve's on his blog. These give you good idea of what you will be missing if you don’t book on....
