3 or 4 Snipe can be seen and heard doing their aerial display above the boardwalk and the field in-front of the hide at the moment. You have to get there early, 5:30 to 6:30 am, or give it a try in the evening and listen to the weird noise made by the males vibrating their tail feathers in their undulating display flight. It’s called drumming but sounds a bit like the noise made by blowing across a piece of grass squeezed between your thumbs which I used to do when I was a kid.
