Taken yesterday at RSPB Nagshead. There were a pair of these on the approach to the reserve , but not there for long. A pair of late adults leaving or Juveniles late out of the nest?
A lovely day , rather quiet in the wood itself but did see Coal tit , willow tit , Nuthatch and tree creeper. Also lots of Goldcrests.
Sadly , on my 6th visit , and on following the correct path to the short trail , and looking in all the likely spots I'm still to find the elusive Hawfinch , (a life bird for me)
Last Winter I got a brief glimpse of three birds flying overhead near the short trail, and calling as they went so I have actually seen a Hawfinch but would love a proper view of one!
