On the surface, Nagshead may seem a little on the quiet side now as many bird species have either finished breeding or are busy feeding young and the bracken does its best to hide our mammals, making them even more elusive. The great thing about Nagshead however, is that there is always something to see! The Nursery Pond is full of life; tadpoles, newts, damselflies, dragonflies and a whole host of other interesting creatures can be found if you look a little closer. The Nursery Meadows have come alive with wild flowers including Common Spotted Orchids and a variety of vetch species. The flowers in turn attract a vast array of insects and you never really know what you are going to come across. So, when you next visit the reserve, take a closer look and let us know what you find!
