RSPB Geltsdale is delighted to host Christina Hargraves current exhibition ‘Meadows’ at the Geltsdale Gallery.

Christina has a deep love of the countryside and draws her inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Lanercost, near Brampton, where she lives.

Christina grew on a farm in near Allendale, in the North Pennines.

She remembers working in the hayfield and just needs to smell a newly mown hayfield to be transported back to her childhood and those early memories.

She paints in watercolours using mainly pastoral colours in an impressionist style.

Christina said, “If I were to be told that I could only paint wild flowers and meadows for the rest of my life I would be perfectly happy!”

“I feel very privileged to exhibit at the Geltsdale Gallery as the nature reserve is one of my favourite places. I just love the peace and solitude”.

The exhibition is showing from 25th July to 11th September and is free to view 7 days per week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. For more information contact the Visitor Centre, RSPB Geltsdale at Geltsdale@rspb.org.uk
