To celebrate 30 fantastic years of the reserve and five fabulous years of the visitor centre, we are holding a big party on Sunday 3 August at Frampton Marsh. There will be lots for you to see and do. Get face to feeler with crabs and lobsters, brave the world of tiny terrors with some bug hunting, search for watery wildlife with a spot of pond dipping, enjoy the barbeque, make a bird box to take home and more!

We’ve even got our specialist wildlife gardener to give you tips on how to make your garden a wildlife haven.

In addition to EIFCA, we have lots of friends coming to make it a really special day. You can learn about how important bees are and try your hand at candle rolling with the Boston beekeepers. The South Lincolnshire Astronomy group will have special telescopes available to look for sunspots and solar flares and they will also be doing some star gazing the night before. Talking of the night, the Lincolnshire Bat Group will be around to explain the mysteries of these night fliers. Feeling peckish? Buy some tasty veg from Woodlands Organic Farm, or tuck into some scrumptious food from the Pig Issue barbeque. RSPB South Lincolnshire local group and Boston Wildlife explorers will be adding to the fun.

What would a birthday party be without cake? So we have a special one for the day. The mayor of Boston has graciously agreed to say a few words and cut it for us at 3 pm.

It all kicks off at 11am and goes on till 4pm. Entry is free so pop along and join in the celebrations!
