One swallow doesn't make a summer...but it's a good start.

I was reading up on my swallow/swift/martin ID this afternoon and I got all nostalgic for the balmy days of summer.

THEREFORE I'm keen to know when the first swallows start arriving.

So keen in fact that I'm offering to bake a cake (only a little one mind, I'm no Delia) for the first person who can catch a snap of this years' arrivals.

Preferably with some feature identifying it as being taken at Frampton or Freiston and a date stamp.
No sneakily bringing in photos taken last year, you know who you are...John Badley.

Please pop your picture on the blog, comment on here and I'll organise to get your prize to you.

Happy Snapping!

  • After their performance this evening, it's hard to argue with you.

I like your thinking though. I got a small flock of pied wagtail around the 360° hide on Sunday. That's got to be worth a biscuit or a blueberry muffin at the very least! :-)
