With bonfire night coming up on Monday we all know it can be a stressful time for wildlife if we're not careful how we celebrate.
Here at Frampton the wildlife doesn't have to worry about that,as it has a perfect haven and plenty of wildlife is making the most of the reserve at the moment.

Recent highlights
Tree sparrow - 20 on the feeders on Tuesday. With the recent coldsnap many seed eaters will be visiting garden bird feeders, so keep them stocked up!Kingfisher - in the ditches of the wet grassland early in the weekPale bellied Brent goose - in amongst the large flocks of dark bellied brent geese on the reserve. Seen on Tuesday.Redwing - pushed west through the fog along with huge flocks from the continent last week. 3 seen on the scrapes on Thursday.Hen harrier - a male and a female seen regularly this week, including this morning over the saltmarshMerlin - regularly seen hunting over the reserve this weekCurlew - up to 50 seen in groups of up to 20 on the saltmarsh, wet grassland and scrapesGreen woodpecker - an unusual bird for the reserve but this individual has been around in the hedgerow for a couple of weeks nowTurnstone - another fairly unusual sighting for us. 2 were seen on the scrapes this morning. One of my favourite waders!

Weekend Weather - wrap up warm but bring sunnies and a rain coat
Saturday - Cooler and cloudier in the morning but brightening through the afternoon. Top temperature of 8 degrees and moderate/strong winds from the westSunday - More cloud around with the risk of showers in the late evening. Top temperatre of 9 degrees and lighters winds from the south though, so that's good!Monday - Unsettled with sunshine and showers throughout the day. Cold northerly winds in the afternoon may make it feel significantly cooler than the top temperature of 8 degrees.
