it has been a very wet and cold day here at RSPB Frampton Marsh. The rain has not really stopped all day.
Today's sightings have included:
Whooper swan 21
Bewick's swan 3 (but not quite on the reserve. They are in a field visible on the road in, with the mute swans).
White-fronted goose 4
Brent goose 1500+
Spoonbill 1
Barnacle goose 1
Scaup 2 (m&f)
Snipe 12
Black-tailed godwit 14
Dunlin 14
Golden plover 4000+
Peregrine 2
This weekend's weather:
Saturday will be a little grey, but much drier than today. The high temperature will be 9C, and the wind will come from the west at a speed of 21mph.
Sunday will be much sunnier with highs of 9C. The wind will be slightly stronger at a speed of 25mph, coming from the north west.
