Howdy folks, and welcome to the rather late and shortened Frampton Marsh recent sightings. With me, Chris the very busy visitor guy. Tonight I have been doing pond-dipping with 5th Boston Beavers, and so really running behind time. Bare bones only I'm afraid.

So, a quick look back at the week.

By far the most exciting thing of the week though was this little critter

Monochroa palustrellus, a micro moth. And first time it has ever been recorded in the vice county!

Having said that, finding this little (?) fella whilst doing dipping with the beavers was itself quite exciting...

A great diving beetle. I kept my fingers well away!

Right, it being gone 11 at night I'm calling this a wrap. Better post hopefully next week!

Reedbed, freshwater scrapes, saltmarsh and wet meadow. Frampton Marsh has it all! Come and pay us a visit soon.
