You are in for a fun-filled Easter holiday at RSPB Frampton Marsh, with a whole clutch of special activities.
All through the school break, you can turn detective and try to crack the clues on the Wild Things Easter egg hunt.
After picking up an entry sheet from the visitor centre, you follow the tricky trail and unscramble the puzzle. If you get the answers right, when you return to the centre you win a chocolatey reward! As you go round there will also be other fun activities for you to get stuck into. Find out what it is like to be a bird with our giant nest. Test your skill with the egg toss game. And more!
The Easter egg hunt runs 29 March to 15 April from 9:30 am to 4 pm each day (last entry 3 pm). The hunt is suitable for children aged 5 to 15 and costs £2 per child, with accompanying adults free.
If the great outdoors is your child’s thing, introduce them to some feathered friends with the Birds for Kids course.
This child-friendly event will teach your budding Chris Packham or Michaela Strachan how to tell which bird is which, before putting theory into practice with a walk on the reserve.
The courses are on Tuesday 3 and 10 April, with sessions at 11 am and 2 pm, costing £2.50 per child, with advance booking essential.
Chris Andrews, Visitor Experience Manager for the reserve, said; “This is an egg-citing time in nature, full of fresh sights, sounds and smells after the winter. An ideal time for you to visit the reserve and have a great time with your kids!”
You can get more information on these or any other reserve activities by calling 01205 724678 or by emailing lincolnshirewashreserves@rspb.org.uk.
