You can have a fun-filled Easter holiday with at RSPB Frampton Marsh, with a whole clutch of special activities.

All through the school break, you can turn detective and try to crack the clues on the Easter egg hunt.

After picking up an entry sheet from the visitor centre, you follow the tricky trail and unscramble the puzzle. If you get the answers right, when you return to the centre you win a chocolatey reward!

The Easter egg hunt runs 5 to 21 April, from 10 am to 4 pm each day (last entry 3 pm). The hunt is suitable for children aged 5 to 15 and costs £2, with accompanying adults free.

There is an egg hunt with a difference running at the same time, when you can use your social media account to win smashing prizes.

Hidden around the reserve are five large decorated eggs. If you find one, take a selfie of yourself with it. If you then ‘like’ the reserve’s Facebook page and post your selfie there, you will be entered into a free prize draw to win a hamper of Easter goodies.

On Easter Sunday itself, there will be a family fun day for you to enjoy, running from 10:30am to 4pm.

You have your face painted, plant a sunflower to take home to put in your own garden, or turn yourself into the Easter bunny with a marvelous mask.

To take part will cost you £4 per child, (£3 for RSPB members), with the action happening in the heated visitors centre.

If the great outdoors is more your children’s thing, introduce them to some feathered friends with the Birds for Kids course.

This child-friendly event will teach your budding Chris Packham or Michaela Strachan how to tell which bird is which, before putting theory into practice with a walk on the reserve.

The courses are on Tuesday 8 and 15 April, with sessions at 10:30 am and 2 pm, costing £3 per child (£2.25 for RSPB members), with advance booking essential.

You can get more information on these or any other reserve activities by calling 01205 724678 or by emailing lincolnshirewashreserves@rspb.org.uk.
