....have no place whatsoever on the reserve next Monday night.

Starting off a series of talks, to be held in the visitor centre on Monday nights over the winter, we have 'Nasties of Nature'. A look at the less pleasant side of nature. Shudder at stories of things that sting. Take fright at things that bite. And discover creatures whose eating habits would make a ghoul feel queasy. We'll also meet some creatures who are unfairly tarnished, and have an undiserved bad reputation.

Doors open at 7 pm, with the talk starting at 7:30 pm. There will be refreshments on offer and the centre is heated. So even if it is a dark and stormy night, we'll be nice and cosy. Tickets cost £4 for adults, £2 for children (due to the content we suggest no young children), with RSPB members half price. Places can be booked by calling 01205 724678 or email lincolnshirewashreserves@rspb.org.uk

And please, don't have nightmares...
