Hello
Well, the season officially gets underway at the weekend. We have an event on the reserve. We are doing a land based survey from the clifftop. The event is being led by a local charity, The Stonehaven Dolphin Research Trust, which is run by a local chap, Ian Sim. The aim of the day is to observe and record cetacean activity but it will also be a good bird watching opportunity. Spring is here and birds are on the move back to their northern breeding grounds. Myself and Ian will be on the reserve between Midday and 4pm with telescopes and binoculars and we are hoping that members of the local community will come along to give us a hand. We will base ourselves at the end of the maintained trail.
The new Observation Shelter is more or less finished and we will have access to it, should the weather be less than blue skies and sunshine!
