Dubh Lochan Trail (OPEN) –  This is the original flagstone trail found south of the railway crossing and the cattle grid. It will take you up to the Dubh Lochan pool system. Please be aware that the surface is uneven and can flood during poor weather.

Boardwalk Trail (OPEN) – This is the new boardwalk trail that has been built as part of the Flows to the Future Project and also begins just south of the railway crossing. It will take you up to the new viewing tower at the pool system and links into the original flagstone trail. The boardwalk is a much more even surface and will allow a broader range of people to visit the pools.

Forsinain Trail (PARTIALLY OPEN) – This is the loop-trail found 4 miles north of Forsinard at Forsinain (red bridge). The trail is open as far as the pool system above the farm. Beyond the pool system the Forsinain trail is CLOSED due to storm-blown trees that have fallen across the path. Please also be aware that there are two locked gates at Forsinain Farm blocking access up the track. Unfortunately, these are the result of an access dispute with the private landowner who owns the building adjacent to the track. It is possible to climb both gates and continue up to the pool system and we are working to have these obstacles removed in the near future. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our visitors.
