Thank you to Steve and Sarah, who brought their home-grown plants stall to Fen Drayton Lakes today to raise funds for us. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good and there were few visitors here to take advantage of the top quality plants at bargain prices. The good news is that they'll be back next Sunday (July 24th). Where else can you get well-grown lavenders for just £1 and donate money to the RSPB at the same time?
The selection will include herbaceous perennials, herbs, shrubs and tomatoes.....but not peanuts. I bought their last peanut plant today, so I'm now in competition with (another) Sarah, to see who's plant produces the most nuts.
"Cream sausages" is one of the tomato varieties. I couldn't resist trying one with a name like that, but will I be eating them with my peanuts?
Planting a wildlife-friendly plant and a donation - thats two steps up for nature! Come to see us on Sunday.
