Along with the now numerous Chiff Chaffs, Willow Warblers and Blackcaps, I had my first Whitethroat of the year down Lin Dyke yesterday and today was my first Sedge Warbler of the year. House Martins are starting to trickle in with the Swallows and Sand Martins.
Yesterday I had around 7 Avocets on Hicksons and 2 on Lin Dyke Flash and a couple of Arctic Terns were seen amongst a small flock of Common Terns from the Cut Hide.
Today however, as I pulled up at a roadside pool to search for warblers a Cream Crowned Marsh Harrier came quartering the meadows and circled right by my car before drifting off over towards the stacks.
