Well Fairburn is looking at its best now with the influx of water. This should really encourage the visiting birds to settle in. Hope they dont drain it too quickly as before, and let it drain naturally. That way the sightings should be very good. Tiaga Bean goose showing on spoonbill flash this morning, with double figure numbers of Shelduck and 30+ Curlew. Its amazing how much is visible with extra water on reserve, but thats the beauty of being a flood plain.
